A final touch to the Center Market Space was the construction of a drinking fountain, built in 1907 in front of what was then the Fish and Produce Market Buildings. According to The Baltimore Sun on January 18, 1907, the fountain was intended to be used “for both man and beast…designed gratis by the architects,” Simonson & Pietsch. The fountain was funded and erected by General A. E. Booth, from whom it has since taken its name. It is made of brown marble and is extant today, adding a water feature to the plaza in front of Port Discovery Children’s Museum.

An announcement for the "Booth Fountain" was published on January 23, 1907 in the Baltimore Sun.
