J. Appleton Wilson's project list says "Reredos for St. Barnabas Church, Biddle Street."

St. Barnabas was an Episcopal Church, located at the corner of Biddle Street and Argyle Avenue. By 1911, the neighborhood had changed from white to Black, and the building was sold to the Catholic Archdiocese of Baltimore, which established a Black parish staffed by Josephite Fathers. The building was demolished for what is now the Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. The Episcopal congregation affiliated with the congregation of St. George's to form the congregation of the Cathedral of the Annunciation at the corner of Charles Street and University Parkway.
