Hebrew Friendship Cemetery, founded sometime in the late 1840s, is one of Baltimore’s oldest Jewish cemeteries. Located to the northeast of Patterson Park in Highlandtown, it’s home to nearly 2,000 plots, with graves that were interred almost two centuries ago. The entrance and chapel of the cemetery—fashioned out of stone—were designed by Theodore Wells Pietsch in 1909, as announced in the Baltimore Sun, and completed the following year.
