The Stieff Silver Company Factor is a two-story rectangular brick factory building that was built in two stages in 1925 and 1929. What was built in 1925 was quickly outgrown, and by 1929, expansion became a necessary order. The buildings’ exterior features a clock that’s flanked by an iconic lighted sign advertising, “Stieff Silver.” The Stieff Silver Company was the last of the Baltimore silverware manufacturers, operating from 1892 to 1999. Local developers Struever Bros. Eccles & Rouse bought the building in 2000 and renovated the interior into office space.
